CFB : 2* RICE

The Rice Owls will close out the ’04-’05 season tonight as well as their WAC history tonight at Reliant Stadium in Houston. Rice will become a member of CUSA-West next season. Rice has lost 5 straight games including a drilling at the hands of Fresno St. but they’re 3-1 SU/ATS at home. They’ve also covered 3 straight against LA Tech averaging 41 PPG.

Rice is 10-0-1 ATS at home coming off a home loss and they feature a twin running attack of Ed Bailey with 881 yards and 11 TD along with Joel Armstrong who has 606 yards with 4 TD.

The Bulldogs are looking to go to 6-6 for the season but will have to try and do so with a 1-5 SU/ATS road mark. Tech is scoring only 17 PPG on the road while allowing more than 40. They will also be remembering the 49-14 whipping the Owls hung on them last season.

The Dogs also have the #4 rusher in the nation as Ryan Moats will close out his Bulldogs career tonight by adding to his 1706 yards and 17 TD. QB Matt Kubik has completed better than 50% of his passes for 1644 yards with only 7 TD and 10 INT.

Great write-up, J.A. I had no opinion on the game this morning, but I like Rice-a-Roni a lot now. GL
